All accommodation and venues are available for hire between June and September.  Upper and Lower College Hall and Parliament Hall are available for hire throughout the year. Other venues are also available during weekends, evenings and holidays.

With over 1800 en suite rooms available during the summer months, the university is a popular choice for hosting national and international conferences.

The nearest railway station to St Andrews is Leuchars, situated around six miles from the town. Buses run from the station approximately every 15 mins into St Andrews.

Driving to St Andrews from Edinburgh takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Driving from Glasgow takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes, whilst the journey from Dundee takes around 30 minutes. 

St Andrews can be very busy, so please be aware that parking can be difficult and allow time to find suitable space. Much of the on-street parking in the centre of town is metered, and coins or the RingGo app are required to pay.

A great conference starts with a great location. The University of St Andrews offers renowned facilities, with venues for up to 900 delegates, in an unrivalled position within the ancient town of St Andrews.

Arrange a conference with us and you will have over 90 meeting rooms to choose from, ranging from our historic venues Parliament Hall, Upper and Lower College Hall which overlooks St Salvator’s Quad, to landmark contemporary buildings including The Gateway and Medical Sciences Building. Our largest plenary venue is Younger Hall with a capacity of 960. 

All venues benefit from the latest technology in audio/visual facilities and free wi-fi access is available for delegates throughout any meeting or event.

Accommodation is available for delegates attending any conferences from June to September.  Delegates can choose to stay in Agnes Blackadder Hall which has en suite facilities, as well as Forbes Bar.

David Russell Apartments each contain 5 en suite bedrooms and a tv/diner area.  Facilities in the main building include Dragons Den Bar.

Standard accommodation is available in University and McIntosh Halls which both have shared facilities. 

All accommodation bookings include breakfast.

We have a range of menus available for conference lunches, plated dinners, canapes, wine receptions and other social events.
