Location and transport information
Due to its central location between London and Edinburgh (just two hours from London by train), York is the perfect city to host a national conference or event. Their venues are easily accessible by public transport with frequent buses between the city centre, train station and Campus.
Both of their campuses have large pay and display car parks, and pre-paid parking permits are available. There are also numerous disabled bays and charging bays for electric cars.

York Conferences has nearly 50 years of experience in organising conferences, meetings and events. Located at the University of York, they facilitate events and meetings across the University of York campus and in the town centre at King’s Manor.
Their portfolio of venues and meeting spaces features over 200 rooms, including floating lakeside pods, a 360 degree presentation suite, the iconic Central Hall, and the historic King’s Manor in the heart of the city, as well as the brand new £26m Piazza Building.
The venue works in close partnership with Mosaic events to provide a range of event management packages, including delegation registration, speaker management and income generation, or full end-to-end event management depending upon your requirements.
They also offer a range of high spec audio-visual equipment as standard in their meeting rooms and these are fully supported by a team of in-house experts. There is free high speed wi-fi available across campus and into the city centre.
Award-winning catering is served in a variety of food and bar outlets across campus. The chefs are able to offer bespoke menus using seasonal and local produce. They also offer onsite bed and breakfast accommodation throughout the year, which includes their Deliciously Yorkshire breakfast. During the summer there are over 1,000 bedrooms available, which can be block-booked or on a room by room basis.
The conference facilities were very easy to navigate and the AV was easy to use and well supported. Many of our delegates commented on how much they enjoyed being at the venue and that it had a calm and positive ambience, which I think reflected the spaces as well as the staff working there.
