Location and transport information

From central London trains operate to Greenwich from Cannon Street and London Bridge normally terminating at Dartford.

Nearest train stations are:

  • Greenwich Station (Travel Zone 2 or 3) nine minutes walk
  • Maze Hill Station (Travel Zone 3)  Close eight minutes walk

Docklands Light Railway (DLR) The nearest DLR station is Cutty Sark (Travel Zone 2) a two minute walk to the campus. Direct services run from Bank, Canary Wharf, Lewisham and Stratford and easy connections are available from Tower Gateway, Beckton and London City Airport.

The Maritime Greenwich Campus is based in the Old Royal Naval College on the banks of the River Thames in Greenwich, just a two minute walk to Cutty Sark DLR Station and 20 minutes by train to Central London. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1696, the campus boasts some of London’s finest Grade I listed baroque buildings and forms part of the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The facilities include:

Located a few minutes away from the Maritime Greenwich Word Heritage Site is our state of the art Stockwell Street Building. Situated in the heart of Greenwich Village, the building offers a large exhibition space on the first floor, as well as a variety of modern lecture theatres and meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology and AV equipment.

Accommodation is available from July – September, with 570 single en suite rooms available on the Greenwich campus and 1,300 single en suite and standard rooms available on the Avery Hill Campus in Eltham.

The Avery Hill Campus in Eltham south London, offers year round facilities for conferences, meetings, sports and hospitality, as well as onsite accommodation during the summer vacation.
