Meet the team
The Academic Venue Solutions team are all part of the Paje Consultancy organisation who support and work in partnership with Academic Venue Solutions, headed up by Mandy Jennings who is also a Board Director for Academic Venue Solutions. Mandy has many years’ experience in the hospitality industry, previously being Sales Director for both De Vere Group and Principal Hayley Group. Mandy set up Paje Consultancy in 2010 and brings a team of hospitality experts to support Academic Venue Solutions.
Mandy works with the company’s volunteer Board of Directors and business partners to develop the strategic plan. She is responsible for leading and directing the team to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of the business plan to meet the agreed objectives.
Our team, led by Rachael Bartlett, works directly with the member venues and event organisers to build relationships and understand their needs and requirements. The result is a free venue-finding service, matching event planners with a list of specialist academic venues that can help. Rachael has extensive experience and a deep understanding of the academic venues sector having worked in hospitality and higher education for many years.
- Jodie Fear, Event Sales Consultant. Jodie has a wealth of experience having started her career as a venue finder at a conference agency. Her role is to proactively work with clients to help them find solutions for their events through our venue-finding service.
- Helen Fogg, Event Sales Consultant. Helen was vast experience in the venue sector and has worked for several hotel and venue companies. Helen works alongside Jodie to help find solutions for our clients in our venue finding service.
- Judi Oliver, Sales and Enquiry Service. Judi has vast sales venue and event sales experience is supporting the sales and enquiry service systems and development
- Caroline Cockell, Marketing. Caroline has a wealth of experience in digital marketing for the hospitality sector and other industries. Caroline is responsible for our website and direct marketing.
- Christine Page, Exhibitions & Events. Christine looks after our key exhibitions and events, she has many years’ experience in the hospitality industry and specifically the academic venue sector.
Our Board, chaired by Steve Crawford, includes hospitality industry specialists and senior operations managers, as well as marketing and events experts. They have a profound understanding of both the needs and requirements of event planners, and the challenges the Higher Education sector faces in the commercial marketplace.
