Warwick Conferences’ chef set for Vegas for Copper Skillet Finals

“Award-winning Chef De Partie, David Webb, is set to represent Warwick Conferences at the IACC Global Copper Skillet Finals sponsored by Nestle in Las Vegas later this year after being crowned the UK Conference Chef of the Year.”

The finals, which will take place in May at the International Association of Conference Centres’ (IAAC) Americas Connect conference, will see all of the regional champions go head-to-head to compete for the coveted Copper Skillet.

The competition sees chefs handed a box of mystery ingredients and limited equipment to cook a winning meal. Webb wowed the judges with his oriental tofu and vegetable stir fry, escalope of marinated pork with coconut, and tamarind sauce to book his place in the Vegas finals.

Commenting on his win as UK Conference Chef of the Year, David said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be going to Las Vegas to compete in the Nestle Global Copper Skillet Finals against other chefs from across the industry.

“Competitions such as these are a great way for chefs to come together, share our skills and make brilliant meals that we can take home and create at our respective conference venues I’ve had a number of fantastic moments in my eight years at Warwick Conferences, but making the final has to be up there as one of my proudest.”

David’s success continues Warwick Conferences’ strong start to the year. In January, the venue was awarded the prestigious ECOsmart Gold Status by Greengage Solutions after demonstrating their eco-friendly approaches in five areas, one of which being food & beverage.

IACC is a global community of passionate people and companies delivering innovative and exceptional meeting experiences. The Copper Skillet competitions run alongside the annual meetings which take place on a national, regional and global level.
