TEAM BUILDING EVENTS DURING COVID-19

As we navigate life alongside COVID-19, ACF have re-launching their private team building events with some brand new safety measures designed to adhere to government guidelines and keep both our staff and guests safe.

Following the latest update, they've now able to offer outdoor team experiences that have been adapted to comply with social distancing measures, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you back and return to doing what we do best!

Mind, one of the UK’s leading mental health charities, recently advocated for maintaining a positive work/life balance as ACF become accustomed to our new routines. Their established team building events aim to help to restore this balance and aid workplace wellbeing, so there has never been a better time to work with ACF!

Safety Measures

The guidance is ever-changing and they will, of course, seek to be responsive to the situation.  They have, however, taken the time to implement the following safety measures:

  • In person events will take place on private grounds so that guests can enjoy one another's company in confidence.
  • Both staff and guests will be encouraged to wear protective gloves, where possible, either their or disposable ones that will be provided if necessary.
  • All personnel are to observe the 2m social distancing rule. None of our current activities will require close contact.
  • All equipment will be thoroughly cleaned after each use.
  • Hand sanitiser and cleaning equipment will be stationed at each activity area.
  • Guests should not attend if they have a temperature or are exhibiting any other coronavirus symptoms, feel generally unwell or have recently come into contact with anyone with the virus.
  • Participants will be asked to give their names and telephone numbers. This is standard practice to ensure all guests are aware of the risks and responsibilities of taking part. In accordance wih the NHS test and trace service, we ask that we are able to share these details, if requested to by the NHS, for up to 21 days after the event.

As they open up the books to clients, we’ll be running events that fit within three different categories, virtual team building events that take place online, private, in-person events that adhere to strict social distancing measures, and hybrid events that bridge the gap between the two.

Virtual Team Building Events

ACF recently called upon our wealth of industry experience and creative expertise to launch a series of virtual team building events for remote teams to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

From cocktail making to balloon modelling, full-body workouts to game shows, there’s something for everyone. These events are perfect for teams that aren’t able to meet in person.

Private Team Building Events

As ACF settle into a summer of staying and playing local, we’ll be offering a range of private team building events that share an emphasis on good old fashioned fun...albeit at a 2m distance!

ACF can organise everything from socially distanced picnics to rounders games, sports days to inflatable courses, so you can still boost morale without resorting to the same-old Zoom quiz week in, week out.

Activities such as laser clay shooting, axe throwing, archery, air rifles and Segways will still run nearly as normal, albeit with some cleaning in between. Each guest will also be responsible for their own equipment - axes, rifles, bow and arrows, etc - and will be shown how to operate them safely to avoid instructors handling any extra equipment.

They've also taken the time to implement safety measures for a selection of our team building activities, so you can still enjoy a treasure hunt, the Maze Runner experience or one of our CSI challenges.

Companies will be split into groups of no more than 6 people and each group will be on a rotation of activities to avoid bumping into one another.

Hybrid Team Building Events

Headspace recently called for compassionate leadership, asking senior team members to be cognisant of the fact that individuals will have different emotional and physical requirements during this time.

ACF are happy to meet you halfway and organise hybrid events that are held both online and in person, in order to be as accommodating and accessible as they can. ACF will endeavour to adapt both our virtual team building events and our private, in-person team building experiences, where possible, and they're also launching some new offerings to boot, including our new Time is of the Essence event.

During this event, teams will be given set roles: camera crew, actors, scriptwriters, brand developers and perfume manufacturers. Participants, whether they’re attending virtually or otherwise, will then have four hours to work together to develop a perfume brand and create an advertisement to promote it. Communication is key, especially due to the hybrid nature of the challenge, so it’s the perfect event for brushing up on some transferable skills!

ACF host will set the task and trained staff will ensure that you have all of the necessary equipment. Once the perfume is fully imagined and the TV advert is created, the footage will be collated, edited and premiered later than day. The results will be judged by industry specialists and/or your peers and the winners will then be crowned.

Hybrid events really do give you the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds!
