Event Exeter welcomed friends old and new this summer
The University of Exeter has seen returning and new customers on campus, as part of the commercial business managed by Event Exeter.
The team were thrilled to welcome back to Exeter the Gay Bikers Motorcycle Club tour, the Amenity Conference of the Arboricultural Society and the Taste of the West Awards, to name but a few regular customers.
Discovering the delights of Exeter for the first time included the Fifteenth Century Conference, which has been running since the 1970's and brings together scholars of fifteenth-century studies with younger colleagues at the start of their academic careers.
The largest swim-school for babies in the world, Waterbabies, chose Exeter as the destination for their 2109 conference. The event coincided with the launch of their new website and brand and included a showcase of their newly wrapped Waterbabies vehicles on the Great Hall Piazza.
The International Society for the Study of Surrealism swapped their regular conference location in the USA for the sunny green climbs of Exeter - a choice which proved popular given feedback from the organiser: "... the conference went brilliantly and delegates were really happy”.
As the Event Exeter team take stock of their summer business, there are still 30 events to deliver before the end of September and many more ongoing throughout the year. Planning is already underway for the Easter season, so there’s no time to rest, but the Event Sales Specialists can take pride in the feedback resulting from delivering over 200 successful events during the 2019 summer months.
