Cloth Hall Court shortlisted for prestigious interiors awards
Well Met, the conferencing office of Leeds Beckett University, is delighted to announce that its dedicated conferencing facility, Cloth Hall Court, has been shortlisted for the Interior Project of the Year, at the prestigious Mixology North Awards.
The shortlisting is in recognition of the £4.5m redevelopment of the Grade II listed building, into a high-quality conference and events venue, complete with new hub for Leeds Beckett University’s Enterprise Service team. Architects Sheppard Robson, working with contractors Overbury, created ten high-end conferencing suites, over three floors, in what was Leeds Law School. The conference rooms range from a capacity of six to 300 delegates, the open-plan reception area provides a warm welcome and the Merchant Hall offers hospitality for up to 300 visitors at a time.
Clare Vidler, Conference Manager, Well Met, said: “We’re delighted that Cloth Hall Court has been shortlisted for the prestigious Mixology Awards in recognition of the great job that Sheppard Robson has done to create this flexible and versatile space. We’ve had great feedback from customers who love its clean, contemporary and light and airy rooms and historic touches. A win would be great and would be a fantastic finish for our first full year in this beautifully refurbished, conference facility.”
Cloth Hall Court has won several awards in its first year of opening including Best in-house technology, and Best non-residential venue of the year at the Academic Venue Awards 2018.
