Annual AVS Conference Host and First Speakers Confirmed
This year’s theme is Influence and Collaboration and is centred around building truly collaborative workplace environments and how working together can help your teams truly thrive. It is based on the belief that you can’t compete externally if you can’t collaborate internally first.
Sessions throughout the two day conference will cover what this means in daily practise coupled with thought leadership sessions, practical exercises, surveys, workshops to discuss, collaborate and review with your industry peers so you are able to positively influence and dramatically increase engagement, awareness, and accountability.
This approach is becoming increasingly essential to meet the challenges to bring a more individual and personalised approach to services, especially so as pressure on resources and budgets continues in the sector.
Influence (Verb) to affect or change someone or something in an indirect but usually important way.
Collaboration (Noun) individuals work together for a common purpose to achieve business benefit.
The 2023 Conference will be hosted by Martin Fullard, Associate Director – News & Content at brand communications agency Davies Tanner.
Martin fronts The Business of Events, an independent Think Tank and platform for Policy, Advocacy, Content, and Engagement, which works to research and develop Government policy initiatives for the events industry.
Alongside supporting clients with their own brand content, he offers industry commentary and supports advisory work to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events, the DCMS, and industry trade bodies.
He was previously an industry journalist at Conference News and Exhibition News, appearing on the BBC, LBC, CNN, and in a host of national and regional titles.
We are delighted that Martin will act as our Conference host and deliver a keynote presentation.
We are also delighted to confirm that Duncan Stevens will deliver a keynote session on “Mastering Effective Influence To Build High-Performing Collaborative Relationships” - How Brilliant Teams Leverage Effective Influence, Persuasion and Collaboration To Build and Maintain More Authentic Internal and External Long-Term Relationships.
Duncan is a leadership and influence coach with a background in behavioural psychology who spends his time working with brands, companies, teams and leaders to help people cultivate a mindset for success.
He helps teams and leaders create new opportunities through new perspectives by inspiring them to build on their current skillset or unlock skills that currently lay dormant. Doing so, allows them to create new perspectives to enable them to use these skills differently to impact their teams positively.
We will have more exciting news to share with you over the coming weeks.
