We would like to welcome Cumberland Lodge to the AVS family and cannot wait to share with you all more insights into this stunning and unique venue.
In our Q&A with Julie Tanner, Business Development and Marketing Manager, we find out a little more about the venue and the team.
1 – What’s unique about your venue and what do you love the most
The location is completely unique as we’re situated within Windsor Great Park and the lodge is steeped in history. It was built in the 17th century and was once a royal residence and home to the Rangers of the park. It is now home to an educational charity and social enterprise that exists to empower young people to lead the conversation around social division.
What I love most apart from the history and stunning location, is the warmth and friendliness of the staff that work here. Cumberland Lodge is truly a home from home and everyone receives a warm reception and are thoroughly looked after – and no one goes home hungry!
Q2 – What’s been the most rewarding event you’ve worked on
I’m fairly new to the Lodge but our programme team deliver a range of workshops, conferences and training sessions for young people each year including Youth and Democracy, Rule of Law and a Christmas Conference. We also host public events such as Open Days and a Shakespeare Retreat.
