In the last issue, we learnt more about Lisa at Kinetic - next up is her colleague Rori.
So Rori, tell us a little about your role and Kinetic.
Hi, I'm the Customer Success Manager at Kinetic Software.
What does Kinetic do?
Kinetic provides a market-leading one-stop shop for student accommodation, student wellbeing and event management. All within a company that puts the customer at the forefront of its development.
What are your responsibilities?
I have the pleasure of looking after a group of Kinetic customers as a Customer Success Manager. As part of my role, I meet as regularly as possible with our customers to understand what drives them, what makes them successful and how they use our products. My job is to ensure they’re getting the most value from their partnership with us from the moment they onboard.
What is a typical day for you?
A typical day for me currently consists of several different tasks and duties. Whether working at home, from the office or out on-site with one of our many customers, my day will be comprised of product demos, product training, product workshops, business reviews and internal meetings. I also collaborate a lot with other parts of the business to get their insights or input to help support our customers.
What do you love about your role?
I love the variety of my role. There’s never a boring day because there’s always something to sink my teeth into. I love getting onsite to meet with our customers too, it gives such valuable insight into how they work and how they use our products.
And what do you least like?
There’s not much I dislike about the role, in honesty, but if I had to say anything, it would probably be the traffic of travelling to all the different sites. I like driving, but traffic only seems to be getting worse!
What are you most proud of career-wise?
I’m most proud of my current role. I've been a Customer Success Manager for a little under 6 months now, and I've had such a great time meeting our customers and visiting their gorgeous campuses. I have been doing some training and learning how the HE space operates...but I'm most proud of my successful day of training in a room of 20+ Kx Users during our Kinetic Free Training Workshops that we run in our MK office and guiding our users on best practice and little tips and tricks while using our Kinetic products. Certainly, not something I'd done before, and we got some great feedback too!
What is your claim to fame or unusual fact?
We used to spend some time at our local pub, which often had the man, the legend, Kenny Baker, A.K.A R2-D2 from Star Wars, drinking there.
What job did you want to do as a child?
As a child, I wanted to be racing in Formula 1 and be the next Lewis Hamilton. Much less traffic around Silverstone than on the M1!
Where do you live/who with?
I live in Northampton with my girlfriend of 9 years and my rapidly growing 2 ½ year old Son!
What do you love to do outside of work?
Outside my work, you’ll find me spending time with my family, on holiday or on my sofa absorbing every session of a F1 Weekend!
